Please can somebody give me abit of advice on charging E-Flite 3s 11.1V 2200mAh lipo batteries,I have been charging them at 1c = 2.2A but I would like to charge them quicker but without damaging them, the pack has written on them 3c Maximum Charge Rate which I would mean 6.6A I think, but in the instruction leaflet that comes with the battery it recommends a maximum 1c.
Advice on this would me very helpful.

I would stick to 1C eflite lipo's are a little delicate! Always store them at around 40% even if its just for a few days between use.

I take that to mean that is is safe to charge at up to 3C but you will always get better longevity at 1C.

I make a bit of a compromise... I always charge at 1C at home because I really don't mind if they take an hour and to be fair, most of my charging is done at home anyway. However, if I am at the field and want to charge up from the field battery I always charge at 2C. It then only takes 20-30 mins and at the field that saves me from hanging around waiting for batteries to charge. I never charge about 2C.

E-Flite lipos used to be delicate. The one with my 130-X seems good, stays cool. They are expensive though. Have a look at Turnigy from the uk warehouse, or Tipple or GensAce. We don't really know about 2C charging compared with 1C, no real measurements. I use 2C most of the time. Keep the batteries at storage volts, don't overdischarge and keep them cool, but use them warm.
