  • How do you use the search for say "130-X motor oil"

As I am not up to date with website things I have no idea how to find a post about oiling the motor on a 130-X. I've used various search tools in the past like grep, so I know there are ways of doing it, but I don't know the right way.

I use comm drops on my nano motor. Kinda like an oil that you put on the brushes. Motor is lasting fine. Couldnt give u a number of flights tho as ive lost count LOL, its over 50 though

I did mean on the forum. I've found the Scorpion oil kit from aligntrex in Slough, and seen a good video done by Scorpion.

I tend to let google do its thing and it will show results for threads in forums.

On the actual question of oiling motors though, I don't bother and I have a Scorpion motor. It has had quite alot of flights without a single drop of oil. When the bearings start to squeal they will probably be cheaper to change than the oil kit.

I know some people have had bearing failures but there is no way of knowing what the failure actually was. As posted by someone the oil is thinner than the grease and will be diluting the grease, so once you start oiling you shouldn't stop.

Yes, google found my question on the forum. The 130-x motor gets very hot, and that's just indoor hovering.

In real life most helicopters are not good at hovering and need to be in forward flight. It takes more power to hover. Get some speed up and get some air to your model.
