How strong is blue threadlock?

I am building a Trex 450 Pro and this evening I assembled the tail rotor assembly but on completion the assembly was tight. Not so tight that you couldn't move it but tight at the extremes. I loosened screws until I found the offending screw and retighten (with fresh threadlock) all the other screws. the movement is silky smooth and not at all tight with that one screw out. As soon as I tighten that screw up ithe movement gets tight again so it is clearly that screw.

The thing is that if I don't properly tighten that screw it remains smooth. The screw is fully in but just not tightened. I have threadlocked it properly but I cannot tweak the screw up without it getting tight again. What should I do? Would the threadlock be strong enough to hold the screw or do I need to determine the cause and make any modifications to get it smooth when the screw is properly tightened. Could I use red threadlock on that screw to hold it?

If you know the 450 Pro it is the screw that connects on to one of the the blade holders.

should be ok if left long enuff to go off before your next flight. so leave overnight and keep an eye on it. this is what i do on my 90 size machines with no problems.

I file down the plastic link rod a bit so you can tighten the screw more without gripping the plastic.

It does have a fair bit of threadlock on it anyway because I dabbed the threadlock in from the other end of the hole before screwing in because I didn't want to get threadlock on the plastic. So it has a bit more than normal anyway

This is what I had to do on my 550 build. you only need to shave the edges off and it's night and day the difference it makes.

i literally scraped them gently across an emery board. When you feel them get a little rough and the shininess goes, that should do the trick

just file them a bit, refit without threadlock and nip the screw up and check its smooth. If not file a bit more, once its right threadlock it. Dont to the screw up he-man tight, just nip it up with a bit of theadlock and it should be good - otherwise they are a bugger to get out!
