I'm certainly considering that - although the wall charger would need adapting too...

I believe it's pretty much the same heli, with a different canopy on?

That's a walkera clone, it's the same size as the buzzflyer / walkera 4#3 that ade was trying to fly with his big porky hands:P. It even uses the same blades and motors.

The 4#3(buzzflyer) can be made extremely stable with some very simple mods, there is a video on RCG of a modded 4#3 getting 5-10 seconds hands off hover!

Yep - it's a Walkera clone, but this one is the 5g6.

Yeah that's the one. Ha, makes me laugh that walkera are being cloned, they were the pioneers in cloning other peoples micro helis

I don't think they are being cloned - they are being badged.
You buy a few hundred from walkera and they will put your clours and logos on it and the box - then you can sell it for more becuase it doesn't have the walkera badge on it!

So now I think I will buy either this one or the monorotor one -but can't decide which.
I presume the tx is the same.
I'm interested to know if the tx can be used on Phoenix - does it have a socket? reason being is my 4 year old is sometimes playing phoenix a bit with my DX7 (randomly) and it worries me (he's no justin chi!)
I can spend £50 for a tx just for him to play with - great if it has a little heli in the box too!

I did look over the Tx briefly - I think I recall seeing a DIN socket on the back of it?
If it does have one, I don't know if it's connected to anything?

I noticed that there is a 2.4ghz version of the Walkera 5g6 coming out soon...
                      Cheers,

Yes you can use it... theres a mini din plug adapter lead (usualy marke as e-sky) as they have the same plug on.
