One thing I have noticed, is that my plank flying is sooooo much better now im a heli flyer too.

One massive advantage we have over plank only flyers is that we can use both sticks at the same time

I think there's something in that. Certainly, flying a plane seems quite easy to me after learning to fly a heli ... Admittedly, I'm only flying a micro, with AS3X stabilisation in it!

OMG I didnt realise they are putting 3 axis stabilisation in planks as standard now... I must be losing touch.....

I have to say, I have thought about the potential benefits of vbarrrrrring a plank, but then I cant get either of my vbars to work properly on a heli, let alone a fixed wing!

Very nice gift Jimmy , it will certainly go where you point it & keep you on your toes . I had a couple of pattern ships many years ago & flew at plumpton & sandown symposium but never competed at F3A . Like others i had an AcroWot when they first came out as well , had a old O.S 80 . 4stroke in it & was a nice model . I think Chris Foss based it on the Zlin 50 . Anyway i hope you enjoy your nice gift mate & let us know how she flies & what you think of it . Rob

Unfortunately no money in the kitty at the moment, so will have to make do with what I have, though am loathed to go back to using the spare FrSky receivers I have and my old FF8

Thanks, its a really kind offer. I already have a set of edge blades on loan from Milly (Don), so dont really want to take the p£ss and end up owing lots of forum members for bits and pieces, its just not the right way to behave.

Im sure I have a spektrum Rx somewhere, it just means taking it out of something else I guess.

You guys dont know what you are missing....

The problem with planks is the people that fly them, not actually the planks and flying planks themselves.......

Fortunately because I fly both, im only half a nobjockey, whichever side you look at it from

That is a very nice looking plane! It's exactly the kind of thing I'd like to have IF I had a way of getting it to the field without destroying it. They're such fragile things compared to helis.
