  • General opinion of 'Gassers' please!

Anyone had any experience with Predator gassers & the like?
Was just wondering what the general opinion / experience is as I reckon I'll be looking for something I.C powered again sometime in the not too distant future & I'm reluctant to go down the nitro route.

Thanks in advance guys & any comments / opinions much appreciated

I had a Predator Gasser SE the 26cc one...

People don't like Century here but do not let that put you off!

Predator for Sports flying is okay and they will 3D if your upto pushing it.
Out of the Box you must fit the Metal 'A' Arm upgrade no matter what esle you do. The 26cc one will fly for about 30mins on a Tank, the 23cc about 40-45 mins. They also make good camera rigs!

It will give you +11, -11 easily and the throttle Curve is generally flatter as well and it used to scare the Crap out of me at times but it was big and rock solid and NEVER missed a beat.

    Video of my Gasser flying:

I did the BMFA 'A' with it.

Predator Gasser gets a thumbs up from me

I sold mine and the reason why... Scared of bending it... 100 pounds for a set of new blades and spares issues at the time from Muppets (Century UK and USA)

Mine never crashed and looped, rolled and stall turns easy and look on uTube there is a predator gasser doing 3D!!

      Hi Gazza,

A guy at our field flies one. 90 size with a 24cc (i think ) engine. Looks & sounds great. About 5p a flight on fuel. Not sure about 3d potential as he is not that good yet, but far less tuning issues, loads of power. Tempting!

Forgot to mention if you go for a Gasser get the Zenoha Hanson 23cc Petrol engine its actually smoother than there 26cc engine.

The 26cc one is only needed if your going to do either 3D or as a camera ship.

Otherwise the 23cc is more than up to the job

Predators come with the right engines though so its not to bad.
