All three heli's maidened in the past week.

My 600e was the last of the three, and had one very gentle flight today, thats the downside to it taking 8 hours to charge a pair of packs

Liking the picture. Why does it take so long to charge packs?

I've been curious for a while about the RJX on the 600EFL and how good/bad the geo is with the VBar.

Does the RJX head give a better set of values over the standard FBL heads? Or is it just the same?

Thanks, photography is my usual winter hobby, and plane/heli flying my summer, but the helis seem to have taken over....

That was about 10 minutes in photoshop while I remembered what all the buttons did , a bit like my flying really...

Unfortunately I only have a 50W charger at the moment (I havent flown anything bigger than a 450 electric before, so didnt need it), and I have horrendously overspent, so have to charge each pack, on its own, at 1/2C Its next on my list, along with a few more packs so that I can have 4 flights, and another 600mx (12S) motor so that I can convert my Knight 3D to electric.

Until then its either wait a very long time for them to charge, or pay discoferret 75p for each charge....

With the standard 600e servo arms, the geometry fits within the 80-110 range without a problem.

The swash driver/follower that comes with the RJX doesnt work with the ultralight extreme 3D swashplate though, the arms, arnt long enough, and so the links are angled, making them pop off at extreme swash positions. Fortunately I found this out before flying it, so I swapped in the swash driver from my 600n until I can find the old arms that I have (and hope I didnt throw away).

The head itself seems pretty well made, and goes together easily, though you have to tighten up the bolts that pinch the head on quite tight after you have put the jesus bolt in, otherwise there is a bit of play in the shaft to head union. I found this out today once we had got to the field, so it only had the most gentle of hover, nice and steady though, very impressed.

Cheers for that so if I'm reading that right you could use the Align swash, driver and the RJX head/links to get the ideal setup? Good to know

It's a nice pic. Looks like you desaturated the foreground a bit and then selected the darker background, maybe using the magic wand or carefully by hand and then totally desaturated the background.

Speaking of electric conversions, I did at least hover the converted Hirobo SDX in the garden. So far so good. It's kinda scary at 80% throttle in idle-up, I have no idea what the headspeed is but it definitely has a sound of authority. Right now I am using Gens Ace 2600 packs so I'll be curious what kind of flight times it can get (I'm pretty sure the Hirobo is a fair bit heavier than the Knight).

I got 5 minutes today, and still had 57% left in the packs, but the headspeed was really low, and all I did was gentle hovers about til I was sure about the set up (and had had a chance to tighten the head up a bit).

Im still waiting for castle to send me through the link, so I can set up the governor at 2100 and 2200, then im good for some flips, loops, rolls and stall turns

Once again the Vbar made me go Ahhhhhhh
