From 450 to 600 ?

Probably yes, the trouble is I absolutely have no space for three helis above micro size. No garage, no shelf space. If I buy 500 I will have to sell it later with loss, in order to move to 600.Originally posted by And450 View Posti was planning on going from a 450 to a 500 DFC, sounds like its still a reasonable thing to do
I'm leaning towards buying the largest size I can fit into space available (with some luck that will be 600, even though I would like 700). I will have some time to think it through since servos and FBL can all be used by smaller sizes too, and I'll buy these first. ESC and motor after I've chosen the model.
BTW, nice new avatar ?

Do it once and do it right, I'll do you a good deal on a Dune and it will never need to be upgraded, they bling out of the boxOriginally posted by Bronek View PostI suppose this means I probably should skip smaller sizes and jump straight to 600 size. Even though that means more expense on batteries, spares etc.
My preference is FBL with torque tube, not Align this time (want to avoid "upgrades" such as good bolts and bearings). Ideas, thoughts to share?
If you work out a spec you want and we can work out a combo deal for you if you want to do it all in one go.Just a trusty rusty Raptor E550 these days

on topic however, I went Honeybee 450, 500, 600 then 700.
The 500 was i felt my first 'serious' heli and i still have it. to be fair though it rarely gets flown and the 600 is by far my personal favourite and gets way more air time than anything in my fleet currently for all the reasons mentioned during the thread by others.
So is it too big a jump from a 450? probably not but depends on you, it will undoubtedly scare the living crap out of you after the 450 but if you can get over that then why not.

Re: From 450 to 600 ?
I'm a clown. I measured space available and compared against known heli sizes, maximum size I have space for is 550 ... specifically JR NEX E6-550Originally posted by milly0812 View PostJoke deleted ;-)
Seems like 3rd heli above micro size will be after I've moved the family from flat to house. Which will happen, eventually ...Last edited by Bronek; 31-12-2012, 05:15 PM.Trex 450 DFC with AR7200BX and several small E-flite Blades
