  • Northampton?

How many pilots in Northampton use this site???

a few of us are thinking of starting an indoor small heli and plain club in this town, would anyone from here be interested???

(trying to gather numbers to see if its worth it)

    Thanks

    I'm from Northampton.
What sort of indoor location are you thinking of. It'd have to be a fair old size for a Trex450, even some sports halls seem a little small for them.

well this is one thing to look at maybe just small machiens like the cp to start with and small foam planes. If the numbers Arne they then its not worth it.

I live in Northampton and would be interested too.

I have a number of small electric heli's and planes that need an indoor venue to fly (twister bell 47, x-twin's, jp mini aviator, gws pico tiger moth, kyosho citabria on order) and also a couple of larger aircraft that I bought to fly outside (t-rex 450xl, fik v-tail)

Most clubs seem to focus on IC powered aircraft which don't interest me. Personally, I like to fly something up-close, slow, low and cheap to repair!

If you're starting an indoor club, or know of any suitable outdoor venues which aren't plagued by mischievous dogs and curious kids please post back...

T4ttyT3ddy you should go up to the Midland Helicopters' Indoor FlyIns - under 10 minute drive up from Leamington - perfect for Blade CX2s (I find it too small for my 450 though).

It occurs once a month (last one was last night), and just £5 per pilot. Don't use the drinks machine there though (the thieving robbing £$%*& )

              Details here: http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/ac...nthlyFlyIn.htm

Note: you must show BMFA membership to fly.

That is a shame because I would really like a few places to fly!

I'll be popping along to the next Midland Helis one if only to spectate and have a chat with the people there see how it all goes on!!

I too would of been interested, but the smallest heli i have is a 450 so it would of had to been a fair sized hall.
