Pondering change of heli fleet
It must be something about this time of year! I can't decide if I should change members of my fleet.
My skill is modest sport developing to basic 3D and at the mo I have what has been my main stay Logo 400SE, Fusion 50 and Rave Ballistic. Each of them fly's well and enjoy all of them, the Rave more than most because of the size. That said I'm less adventurous with the Rave as I worry a little about rebuild cost and she is my newest bird. I was like this with my Logo for ages and now it's just a heli and gets the role of testing most of my new skills. I have buckets of spares for the logo so rebuild cost would cost me very little. But i haven't crashed in two years! Even with lipo cell failures the logo has come back unscathed. The Fusion has not really seen much daylight over the last few months as the Rave grabbed the lime light. But i grabbed the Fusion on the last two sessions and it was brilliant to fly, big and powerful in comparison to the Logo. Again I have loads of spares for her also.
So that's my ramble over where I am and what I have. This brings me to my point, do I sell the Logo? I'm thinking the Fusion could become my 'go to' heli and the Rave can come out when it suits. I have 28 x 6S 3300-3500 lipos so I could probably fly the fusion all day! Has the Logo done it's job and got me through the basics. Also if I sell the Logo do I get something else or just buy a tump of lipos for the Rave?
My other issue is I do fancy a new heli, maybe I'm just looking for a change. If I do, what do I get? I don't really get the buzz with a 450-500 trex size (mates fly these) so smallest for me is really a true 500. So do I go Gaui X5 or Goblin 500 as it uses the same lipos as Fusion? Or do I go with say a Synergy E5 which uses same lipos as Rave? Then again do I get another 600 or even a 700? Is there really nice 600 out there that would complement the Fusion? Do I get a cheap 700 that I would worry less over? This is my problem, there are so many options I haven't a clue what to do
So does anybody have opinions of what if anything I should do?
