  • goblin sudden cut out in flight?

    Guys,

    just been flying my goblin, 2 packs through without issue. towards the end of the third, it sounded like the motor just completely cut out in flight for about half a second. It then instantly spooled back up. This was under no load.

    I landed it and checked everything, nothing visually wrong, all solder joints seem good (Gave them a real good tug)

    Any ideas?

    Vbar silverline, direct feed 2s lipo and kontronic 120+hv with mode 4 and a quantum 4530 500 KV.

    Can I get anything out of the Vbar since its been switched off?

      still read flight logs, as mark says was kontronik flashing before you unplugged

        not sure, didnt know to look out for it. What does it mean if it was? Ill watch out in future. CAn i get logs off vbar even tho its been powered off for a few hours?

            the kontronik has a little light on the case, depends how many flashs to tell you what the problem has been. the vbar log can be pulled up at anytime when plugged in

              Log attached, nothing untoward I dont think apart from some high vibration levels? Not sure why Im getting those, is it a problem?

              Antenna switching is normal isnt it?

              Its been on quite a while on my floor so the logs are quite far up...

                I would not like that many antenna switching. I would check your aerials are not touching any of the CF frame and are not hidden inside or having any objects in their way.

                Though this would not be the cause of a shut down, they if anything would cause loss of control and a crash.

                Its most likely from the Kontronik, tugging on the solder joints and them not moving is not sign of a good connection. A shiny solder connection is usally a good sign of a wet joint. If its dull thats a sign of a bad join. Check all these and also fly again paying attention to the blinking of the ESC if any and how many times it does so as this is the error code to look for
