So, a couple of months after I built it, I finally plucked up the courage to get the X5 in the air... although it was only for a quick "maiden" hover.
Realised that I got left and right round the wrong way on the tail though. I was so concerned about getting the swash set-up correctly and the BeastX making sure the tail points straight, that I didn't even think to check that the left-right control was right from the rudder stick.
Anyway, I'll fix that for the next flight. 
Even though I've only had it in the air for a couple of hovers yesterday, I really want to fly it now. Thinking that I should have got into this hobby on the way into summer and not winter. When is it going to stop raining, and when is the sun going to come out?
