  • blade length dfc head

Hi all i stumbled accross a post yesterday about the trex 700 with dfc head saying that blades abouve 690 is not a good idea! So i was just wondering if it was ok to do the 800 stretch on the tail was an idea, and what length blades would be ok with the stretch. Also what would the benefits of this be if any

thanks for your time on this terry

Surely the bigger the boom and blades the chance of boom strike gets worse ???

If 700mm+ blades are causing boom strikes with the standard boom, the same thing will happen with an extended boom, so if they recommend only using 690mm blades, that would apply to any length of boom, so the 800 conversion would be pointless.

It was one of the reasons I took mine off as I like using 710 blades...I reckon you could look into getting the new 700 DFC boom and torque tube as I think it maybe 15mm longer....
I think it is the mains coming in contact with the tails that is the problem......
Heli central...Basildon RC helis...strictly helis only...

you need to get the new DFC tail boom torque tube and carbon control rod, that will stretch it by 15mm so you can use 710's

I'm running 710's on my 700 DFC v3 with no issues, 105 tail blades are close but not TOO close! :-)
