Bad start today

So this morning I wake up with an irregular heart beat. This happens every six months or so, pretty much at random.

Normally I just take a couple of tablets, but today instead I find myself in a and e with a heart rate of 170 at rest...

The hyper is still on my desk lol my wife did think I was cooking something nice when she got home. She was very confused when I said I'd been baking an engine...

It's caused by an alternative electrical pathway in my heart, like a short circuit, today it was just a bit too quick for me to deal with it myself....

I take it you are getting yourself checked out (i.e. further investigation as a result of going to A&E)? If not, then that should be a high priority (my family has a history of heart failure, so I get myself checked every year - although they recently extended the checkup interval to 18 months which is either because they think I'm doing ok, or because they are having a budget cut). Your heart issue might be fixable at the moment, but if you leave it, then it could cause secondary damage that cannot be repaired. Also, if you haven't done so, get yourself life insurance now, because most insurance companies won't cover you for heart conditions if you already have it on your record (in addition, many won't cover you if nothing has been found but you are currently under investigation - but some will).
