Had a cracking flying session this afternoon in clear blue sky with minimal wind.
Yesterday, two guys had a go at drag racing their 50 helis - from a stationary start on the ground, in a straight line away from themselves as far as they dared and then back again - it' all about speed! The helis were a Sceadu with Hyper, Zimmermann and Cool Power 15% and a TRex 600N with Hyper, Muscle Pipe and Magnum 30%. The Sceadu won 3 times out of 4.
We did it again today and I joined in with my Voyager 30 with OS37, Hatori and Cool Power 15%. First race, I won, just, and came a close 2nd to the Sceadu on the next go.
What a laugh - the best fun I've had with helis for ages, we'll have another go sometime soon and may even time them along the fixed length of the strip to accurately calculate which one is the fastest.
I've always said my JR 30 heli was quick through the air, and today prooved it! The Trex disappointed, even with its extra nitro fuel.
Lol.
