    Considering a RC Website

Like a lot of members have already posted in a round about way,,,
Why go to all the bother of setting up a site, maintaining it, paying monthly for it & spending hours & hours on it when you should be out thrashing that 500 about..
I think what you are thinking of doing is a good idea, but it's hard work, you can ask Stuart he'l tell ya.
If think you best bet if you would like to do this is to speak to Stuart, see if he would be up for setting up some sub sections for you & moderate them yourself.
STUART HAS DONE ALL THE HARD WORK OVER THE PAST DECADE,
WITH ONE OF THE BIGGEST HELI FORUMS IN EUROPE IF NOT THE BIGGEST,,,,
YOU CAN'T ASK FOR A BETTER TEMPLATE THAN THAT!!
    and...
We all will have all of your info at our finger tips with no need to login to another site (& on tapatalk).
( All to be read in a nice positive way )

If its something you want to have a go at, why not, but just dont underestimate the amount of work you will need to put into it to keep it fresh, there are alot of resources out online already so if you want people to keep coming back it will need to be bang up to date. but if you go ahead with it, good luck.
      All the best
      Tony.

              sorry i dont understand!
Hmmmm I think you got the wrong end of the stick here!

Sam never said he wanted to start another forum. If he did, you very rightly have a go at him!
He wants to make a place that everyone can find info/settings,manuals,set-ups etc for individual helis. I think it's a great idea, especially for beginners. Heliaddicts as allready been said it's a great forum, but imagine if you can have all the info you need in one plate!

I dont think anyone can replace RCHeliaddicts. Stuart has done a fantastic job together with the amazing forum members.

On the other hand, I think it's going to be a major task, but good luck mate. Go for it!

Like I previously said, it would only be to help people out (or newbie specific), it would be nothing like a forum. It'll let newcomers find direct and easy to understand information a out flying ...

That has annoyed me a bit tbh, I have endlessly said thanks to everyone for their help, and now you're trying to make me feel bad, I do not want to replace RCHA
Sam firstly im sorry that i made you annoyed maybe i read the post a little wrong it sounded that you was going to make a website up and take all of Stuarts hard work away from his website, if you are making setup videos like the finless bob videos then i would say have a word with Stuart im sure he would give you some space to do it right here, im so sorry Sam if my words came out a little wrong or i read your post wrong it wasnt ment to make you feel bad in anyway
so im very sorry for reading your post wrong, but i would stronly suggest you have a talt to Stuart to see it you can use this webspace to do your setups on...
so all in all a big SORRY...................
                cheers

Its a great idea and if you need a hand let me know - the hurdles I think you'll have is basically time driven its amazing how much time it takes to put up a post even in a blog keep the data feeding in and constantly creating new topics and vids for it.

rcheliresource was this initially but seems to have gone off the boil then helidaily and others have jumped onto this and it seems to me to be more about ad revenue than actually trying to make a difference for the hobby in a positive manner.

I started heliaddicts because there was really only RR and RcGroups - Helifreak wasn't even around when I started it and it was for me about having somewhere local if you like not a lost voice amoungst barrage of US guys...Now its on its way to 100k unique a month and costing thousands a year to keep it running not to mention endless hours of reading, modding, de-bugging and thinking of how to make it better.

forums are a different breed they take years and years and then more years to grow. I think we are the only forum that actually has a owner that fly's - lol I don't think I've ever seen Will or Mark fly in recent years..... I sure they must do I'd hope so..

Anyway let me know if you need a hand with it.
                  Cheers
                  Stuart

                    Considering a RC Website

Sam, you've probably seen this site, but I thought of it when I 1st read your post. If you haven't seen it before it might give you some ideas, I've found it helpful.
