maybe show them the video AFTER they have tried phoenix so they will then slightly appreciate the skill that's involved ? maybe 2 vids too.....a large turbine scale (not the 3 mins of it spooling up at the beginning that even bores the arse off me) and then a crazy Tareq effort between the flags or the palm trees one ?

lots of interaction would be how i'd play it....BUT if you walk into the interview and its a panel of women....your stuffed

I'd go with one of Duncan's flights to music.

Should appeal to a wider audience and it is easier for them to appreciate the timing of the maneuvers even if they don't understand the complexity of what is going on.

Any kind of 3D smack will be completely incomprehensible to then I'd have thought.

I am giving a 30 minute presentation on the 9th November for a new job, and as it can be on any subject I choose so long as its a technical subject, I'm going to talk about my N5 and how all the components integrate and get it in the air At the end I would like to show a video showcasing what a model helicopter can do, and probably take a laptop in and let the Rent-a-Crowd have a go on Phoenix.

So do I show them an aggressive Tareq vid? Bert? Or some graceful 400rpm Timo Ventland??
I recently did a very similar thing for a team meeting at work. I took Phoenix and had a little challenge. I used an MCX2 contra-rotor model to make it even viable for non-heli flyers. Used the target model and did a "30-second hover challenge". People lost points for +/- away from 30 seconds, and gained points for landing in the target. Went down really well!

Also - I agree about hard 3D vids. Most people I've shown them too either show disinterest, or don't believe it and claim it's CGI!

I'd say something to end with thats interactive and can have a laugh ... so either a co-ax hover game or phoenix
Videos would be less appealing unless the audience is interested in skilled activities and want to appreciate it.
