  • Converting dell 500CB to 24v power supply

Have 2 Dell 500cb 12v 40amp Psu. Have found a few guides to converting but am a bit confused. One says to remove the secondary earth links and cut the circuit board link. The others don't say so.

The first of the guides sounds sensible to me but wanted to check if anyone else has done this?

    Cheers

The first one is nearly correct... but do not connect the ac ground from the filter or the front screw. there are jsut the two in the back of this unit one link and a track under the screw... nylon screw or dremmel but buzz it with a meter as described.

Make sure the case is connected to the earth on both units it needs to be to make it safe
