  • Why I love my 130x :)

I love the little 130x, small, light and always ready to fly.

Popped out today for a bit of food, passed an empty grassy area, parked up and had loads of fun with the little 130

4 Lipo's later back in the car and back to the office. A great way to spend 20 mins of lunch. No fuss, no big area's needed. Simple and great way to get flight time in.

And its so much nicer to fly off my Aurora 9 too

    Happy days indeed.

They're great little helis for a quick tank about and some praccy. They fly like their big brothers and sisters so are good for leaning on. Love mine to bits. Oh, and we can play in the garden

Yep, they are flipping great! I flew mine in thick fog yesterday - it was a real laugh - it just disappeared more than 50 feet away or 50 feet up, couldn't see it half the time! Quite magical watching it appear out of the gloom and then trying to level it up!
Wouldn't be without this little 'real life Phoenix'.

Lots of different things that fly

And happy to have FOUR shiny EGS

Have you changed the module in your A9 for a DSM2/DSMX one then?

Did you get it from the UK? Theres a US seller on rcgroups knocking them out for $95 delivered. Got any pics of the module in your A9, I don't like the antenna position on the one from the states.

Have you had any problems with it?

I bought my DM8 off a UK seller on ebay then modified it myself.

So far no issues at all, but i only did it last weekend. I will get some pics up in a bit. I want to get a spare A9 aerial and mod that to fit like the standard module. but honestly, i am not too fussed.

I got an mCPX a couple of weeks ago (s/h) and upgraded it straight away with a microheli swash and Xtreme carbon skids. Then, last week I ordered a new Nano CPX (loads of fun - I think more so than the mCPX although it is less tolerant to wind than the mCPX)... should I order a 130x this week? Possibly, but don't think I could get a third heli past the wife in so many weeks.

I might have to wait a month or so. Anyway, I much prefer flying the mCPX and Nano CPX than flying in Phoenix... I've almost got enough confidence to have a go of the Belt-CP (haven't flown it since I crashed it a few years ago... didn't have a clue what I was doing at the time to be fair). After that I might maiden my Gaui... reading this thread makes me want to try a 130x first though.
Current: Gaui X5 FES (Spartan Vortex) : Trex 450 Pro DFC (BeastX) : Blade 130X : Blade mCPX : Blade Nano CPX
                        Sim: Phoenix v4
                        TX: 14sg : DX7s

Seems pretty straight forward, might give it a crack if I can find a DM8 module for sale.
