If you have had an rx power failure, nothing will stop it as your tx and failsafe are useless. If the rx battery still works, is there a chance it came unplugged? Glad no one was hurt.
      Cheers,
      Simon

I had a similar incident about 4 years ago and the only thing i could trace it down to at the time what that the RX battery connection had came apart.

          Yeah, loads of variables here, FB/FBL, nitro/electric, 2.4 or 35Mhz, e.t.c. e.t.c. (which raptor)

Sorry but need more info before we can make any kind of analysis.

did u have the satellite and the main receiver pointing in different directions? (e.g. one horizontal and one vertical)

And also did u have the satellite behind any carbon?

Not a nice experience, I know, glad no one one was injured.

                      If it's Nitro,
Sounds like, either rx battery has discharged to much or rx has gone nads up therefore fail-safe will not engage as it only activates if TX goes low batt.

I have one of these fitted to mine CSM Throttlesafe or you can fit a throttle return spring to prevent it happening again.

Contact the bmfa immediately if there's insurance involved, if your not a member you could end up footing a very large bill for the repairs.
