Cheers Nick, that was my 5th flight with it and I already feel more comfortable flying it than any of my previous helis. I reckon in a couple of weeks im going to be chucking it around. :-)

Yep, its the only allowed place to fly in the new forest, its the old WWII beaulieu aerodrome:

there is a little of the tarmac left at the east end of the 27/09 runway, specifically set aside for model flying.

But as its the forest, just like on the roads, the horses, cows, donkeys e.t.c are free to roam, and they have priority.

Its not so bad with Helis, as you can set them down vertically, its a nightmare with fixed wing, when horses park themselves across the strip... makes landing a touch more challenging.

No, there are horse, ponies and new forest ponies in the new forest.. all three are slightly different...

Its all a matter of height, well for the horses vs ponies at least, for the cows the difference is more obvious
