Newbie turning question

Hi,

I have a micro axiom heli. I want to know if it's supposed to turn the way it does.
When turning to the right it turns in a nice sweeping motion following an invisible circle.
However when going to the left it turns on its centre and sometimes flies backwards.

Any thought?

Bit of forward elevator when turning left might help, could just be the mechanics of the thing.
