I use the cheap tool, and while it's not that easy to use, it does crimp properly and there's no way they're coming off without breaking the wire. You just have to make sure you're using it the right way, and that it's lined up correctly.

I've used it to fit servo plugs, jst plugs, and jst-xh balance plugs.

If I were to buy a new crimper, I'd get the one that does all different sizes like this PA 09 MINI MICRO CRIMPER MOLEX AMP TYCO JAE JST KK XH HAND WIRE CRIMP HARLEY | eBay
Current fleet: Goblin Thunder Sport (700), Trex 700L, Logo 600, Specter 700, Henseleit TDR, V-Baaa control.
Next heli: I have pretty much everything I want. Maybe I'll upgrade some electronics or something.

His EC5s are the good type (like Eflite's) too, if you use EC5s.
I've been meaning to get exactly one of these. I know they are cheap but how fantastic does a crimp job have to be.
Helicopter pilots get it up quicker.

When the blue light is flashing I am kidding.

Why simplify when it is so much simpler to complicate.
