Ouch ! Be careful, there's a lot going on in those turns. You need to be ok with so many orientations I'm not so sure its good for a beginner. Fly flat circuits first before you try this.

Well, that's why I tempered it with don't rush to do it all. Ie, just the opening bit. Then I explained a bit more. And did say for those ready to move on. Let's face it, ready to move on to that stage still puts you in the beginner category. Certainly wasn't advocating that some one go pick up a heli and go straight to that video.

I hear what you're saying Vikki, just a little worried you are trying to rush things. Let it happen at a natural pace. Once you get the orientations on a smooth circuit there is no need for the video, those turns will come naturally. The turns in the video are quite advanced IMO, they look simple but its not and some of those angles are dangerous and will lead to the heli coming towards the pilot when a beginner gets it wrong. I'm sure Paul will say something similar, crashing is one thing and is wholly acceptable when learning (or at any other time LOL) - hitting yourself with a heli can be deadly. I'd much rather you went straight to stall turns its much safer.
Yes fly a line lift the nose a little then turn but be comfortable with side on/nose in first - flying an arc like in the videos is not easy.
Perhaps I just worry to much but I guess thats me.
