  • 40 odd years of progress?

Chap brought this down the field today. Over 40 years old and cost a couple of hundred quid in it's day.

Couldn't resist a side by side shot. Wonder if my tx will be shown to someone in 40 years and look so dated. It was bloody heavy as well!!!
    Cheers,
    Simon

In all fairness I think the one on the right looks a little smaller in the hand compared to that cumbersome heavy Futaba unit that i probably couldnt even lift

      Easier to program as well!!!

No joke, it was at least twice the weight. Not sure what battery it has in it, but if you want to take it out, you have to remove all the screws and take the back off tx. It all works as well.
      Cheers,

It will look just as old fashioned. Some old things are still good, like steam engines and pilots...

Someone should finally realize that these sticks are out of date and make a very light and small controller with xbox/playstation style sicks. I also do not need a telly built in into my tx

Do you think the Futaba will still be working in 40 years.
