      Good Thread!

Im hooked on it, IMO I spend too much time and money on the damn things but I wouldnt say I take it too serious. Which is why I usually avoid certain forums as people take it way too serious. For example the whole 130X episode, some people (not on here) got so irrate about the lack of quality, performance and got into the legalities of it all, because it wasnt absolutely perfect. At the end of the day its a plastic toy helicopter not a space shuttle.

Im always concious of the money i spend though, wish i wasnt, i shouldnt be as if i didnt have this as a hobby, cars would be my interest and thats a whole different ball game when it comes to cost.

Maybe HF was the other one. Main reason I enjoy this forum so much is its light hearted, the members are friendly and I dont have to sift through pages of Sh*t.

I used to take it far too seriously, so much so I made myself quite unwell & owing thousands of pounds on credit cards. now I don't go anywhere near as much & would prefer a nice lazy day at home at the weekend if the weathers not perfect. I used to go flying even if it was raining & windy just incase I got a chance to fly, hell we even risked snow drifts one year for our weekend fix. It's a warm front room & slippers for me these days now

Deadly serious. I live for it tbh. Everything i do is deadly serious. Don't really know the meaning of the word recreational. All or nothing with me. Social side means nothing to me at all.... i just love flying. I get annoyed when all people want to do is talk when we are flying. Im there to learn and progress, don't care what anyone else has to say about there day etc.... I am a bit of a sociopath though

makes me wonder, i love this hobby in general, eg -rc stuff and the like

but when i see how many helis some guys and girls have by there signatures it makes me wonder how people can afford it !

now i am not going to critise the individual, but how many helis do people run at any one time ?

i tend to have a small hack 130x

and my beloved tt x50 for doing the bis on

i would love another big heli, but if i do then the x50 goes

what i am saying is i dont hord stuff i sell it

                Do you hord ??

Yeah I tend to sell too, can't afford to hang onto them. Now running my X50, an mCPX, and hopefully getting a 130X for my birthday. If I want another big bird (really want a goblin!) it'll have to replace my X50.

I take all of mine to fly to maximise flying time or give me a spare if I crash. Could be a problem with 500 and 600 if I get one (depends how I feel about big ones after lesson) as they use the same batteries. 500 uses one at a time and 600 uses two of the 500's at a time.

I would probably lose the 450.

I fly all of mine too.... except the 500 which i have for sale. Its good to have a few when you fly everyday. When one is out of action you cant be waiting around for it to be fixed, so its good to have backups.

One persons definition of hording is the others definition of collecting. Having one big heli is pointless imo. You need a few for when one is out of action.

Personally I have never been so disinterested in the hobby as I am at present only reading this forum out of pure boredom at work currently, all my helis have become ornaments lately, wouldn't sell any off to reduce the fleet as I don't need the money and would lose money on them so I would rather they sit there.

I am planning to fly for a bit on Saturday but for now it's mainly just keeping my hand in to what I can do with them which isn't very much.

I remember the days of buying jives and v bars without thinking about it but I shudder at spending 50p on them now but I do have a bit of interest in the foamie Planes still.

I did have a brief bit of enthusiasm lately when I purchased a 700e v2 literally new with a v bar and heli jive for 600 notes,I sold the heli and v bar on for 600 so got a buck shee Helijive not that I need it.It resides in the spares cupboard with an unused 100 lv and 60lv,bit of a hoarder I've become

I can fly 3 or 4 at once if I am drunk enough.
