  • Removing sticky foam pad adhesive?

Anyone have any tips on how they remove the sticky adhesive from gyro mounting pads/servo tape etc?

Currently trying acetone and a lolly stick as a scraper but is a slow messy business - is there an easier way?

        WHITE SPIRIT!

dip a cotton bud into a bottle of white spirit and then u only need a little bit and it will all disolve and come loose for you to simiply wipe it away with a washing up sponge thing... (with the abrasive side)

        cheers,
        Tom

It can take a while but normally working your thumb accross the edge or even your fingernail eventually even the most stubborn stuff comes away.

I don't like using blades as it damages the surfaces.

                  Thanks for all the suggestions,

Cotton bud and acetone made fairly quick work of it (No white spirit to hand - as it could be misinterpreted as a desire to do some painting/decorating)
