Tail blowing out on Vbar Velo 50

  • Tail blowing out on Vbar Velo 50

    Just got back from a good flying session but had my tail blow out when I did a almost vertical tight funnel (nose up) What could of caused it? Almost lost the velo! Cheers.

    The tail is holding perfect in rate mode?? I know with my CSM i can tic toc etc in rate mode lol

      Have you ever taken the tail gain up to the point of wag and then backed it off? The vbar will fly really well at low gain levels, maybe you have just exposed that. Unless you do the move all the time without blowouts I would look at that. Have you looked at the log?

        Its happened before but now Im more confident in doing funnels tighter and faster its really starting to annoy me. I haven't taken it up to the point of it wagging yet as it flys brilliant so didnt think there was any point. So you think I should bring the gain down?

        Ive also heard putting larger tail blades on it might make a diffrence?

        What should I be looking at on the log?

          I get this on fast funnels, mainly figure of eight. I have put it down to the governor not holding the headspeed. Are you using the vbar governor?

            Yes I am. Ive read somewhere else that it could be the Vbar gov. Is there anyway of fixing it?
