Setting up Vbar, HV Servos, Helijive 120HV+

Guys,

Before I start plugging stuff in and blowing stuff up, I want to check my wiring is correct.

I have a Vbar silverline, Kontronic Helijive 120HV+ and HV servos (They say 2s lipo on them)

I have a 2s lipo which plugs into 2x standard servo plugs. Those servo plugs go into the Aux+- port and the one directly above it on the Vbar. The servos are plugged directly into the Vbar.

The kontronic goes into the ESC plug on the Vbar, but I have disconnected the positive wire on it so only the signal and the earth cable are connected.

Is this correct?

That's how I have mine on my 700 positive wire from Jive disconnected and plugged into v bar esc port,2s feed direct to the main unit split across 2 inputs.

Im having trouble understanding the Kontronic manual. Im not sure what mode I should be in - the manual states that its in mode 1 (APM auto programming mode) from delivery and you just need to go full stick for 1 second then it works.

However, I'm left wondering what mode i'll be in after that? And it also sort of implies that once the ESC reaches a certain throttle level it will not go any higher as it will just govern at that speed - can I still have IU1 and IU2 throttle curves? (Say 70% and 80%?)

Also, are there any guides for programming the autorotation mode? I really dont get that bit!!

Have a look here , I think Tim explained it much simpler than the manual. Not had time to try it yet, but I thought the manual was not that clear. Too much money at stake just to plug it in and hope for the best !!!

Tim got his from the post linked to in HF, thats prob one of the most linked to threads going for Kontronik lol

The manual does need reworking to English and not Germlish. Things will get better with Kontronik now we have an English guy working for them at Tech support I hear

Hmmm, just doing this now.

I did the first bit where I program mode one, now I get no beeps. The esc comes on, the light flashes, the motor runs etc - just no beeps at all. What have I done?

Ok, I think ive sorted it. Unplugged everything, left it ten minutes.

Now, when I plug it in, I get 3 ascending tones, then 6 groups of two rapid beeps, then a high pitch one.

I presume this is germlish for "Hallo, 6x2 cells ja? GO!"

Does anyone know about programming the autorotation? This is something I'd like to do, but I dont understand when it says about putting the throttle to the autorotation setting? Do I just program my hold to 10% or so, and then flick it after programming a mode to show it what "Autorotation" throttle is, and it'll treat this as 0% but without soft start?
