align 325 pants night blades

As blades they are fine, but the light aspect of the ones I have is virtually useless.
The supplied charger takes at least 3 hours to charge them, if its red light ever does go green...
Then the blades are dim, and before one pack is flown out the blue LEDs are out and you are pretty much down to just the red one at the tip - but all the blade leds are very dim compared to the light strings I have on the fus.
To be honest I may as well put the normal blades on as flying at any distance I can hardly see the blade lights anyway.

So these night blades are my most disapointing heli purchase ever.
I heard of otherfolks having probs as well such as one duff blade in the pair. Mine seem both the same.

What are your experience with the align night blades? what about other offerings? from what I heard they others are just crap blades but with good lights!

Ho hum, no chance to return them as they were grey import. At least they are decent day blades and worked out as a resonable price for that!

I've not tried the 325's but I have the 600's. Mine are fine but a mate's wouldn't charge properly like yours, he was using a 12v power supply. You need to make sure that your charger is connected to a 6v power supply and not 12v otherwise the charger will be unhappy...Worth a try...

I'm using the supplied mains power suply with 6.5v output.
I haven't tried it on 12v...

I did some research and its the blades that are pants - sounds like the charger is actually a very good design.
The batteries in the blades are so small that not many normal chargers can be set low enough work correctly.

Recommendation is that if buying align night blades then be sure to get them tested before shipping, or test them in the shop. Loads of them have no duration,duff lipos from new. many have one of the pair duff and odd ones don't match up well balance wise.
good ones should last well over an hour.
They are over 50% charged when shipped, and should run at least 10 mins straight out of the pack with the blue LED bright. If they dont do that then they are almost certainly duff.

The good ones are very good.

Dunno if they will last in a drawer for next winter though, poor quality lipos only last a year or so even when not used!

I'll get a nice friendly UK shop to test me a pair of blades only, and buy some new.
It would have been OK if at least one of them was good
At least they are decent blades to fly with in the light.

mine are good as gold, but the first set i had the charger got red hot almost instantly, then went puff. I get about an hour and a half of use before the blue leds go out send em back and get some more

From the 3 sets I have had, 1st set 1 blade did not hold it's charge, 2nd set I broke the gold jumper pin in the blade so the blade is still good but I cannot turn the lights on. I am currently on the 3rd set and only use the 12V charger and only charge them on the day or night before) I am going to use them as I don't think they hold a charge for any period of time (i.e. charge them then come back a few days later and they are dead).

Where can I buy the blades only without the charger in the UK?
fast-lad and skyline do not list the blades without the charger.

Is it true that the charger for the 600mm blades is different?

Had a set from midland with one good blade and the other only lasting about 10 mins, sent them back and they returned them saying it was a charger fault, both blades now last for about an hour. They take about 90mins to charge and as said in the other thread they do not hold the charge for weeks, have to charge before each session.

maybe im lucky then, mine hold a charge for plenty of time between use as in at least a week or 2 without a problem. I think ive only charged them 3 times sice i got them at the beggining of november, but ive used them on countless occasions!

SimplyTrex has black only, they are for the 450 trust that's wot you ment?

The white align 325 night blades are good carbon fibre that fly as well as radix.

There are many other carbon night blades that are black, sold by blinktrading etc, these are not as stiff and though they might fly reasonably they are not as good for 3D flying.

also in the part align did some night blades in black, but with nimh batteries inside rather than lipos (hey, now maybe that was a better technology!).

Anyway, I look for some spare white align night blades without the charger.
