I thought you were made of stronger stuff than that Vikki ? So one person makes a neg remark and you head for the hills. This is a forum and everyone is entitled to an opinion and you can't make everybody agree with you. I also avoided many posts but it doesn't mean I dont like you and was looking forward to a little local fly in with you and some of the locals ;-)

I didnt really like all the posts, but i would never post anything to upset her, i simply added her to my ignore list and if anything that seemed to interest me i just clicked the view post option.

The reason I'm staying away is addiction/OCD type behaviour. I'd post then I'd get locked into a constant refreshing every 10-20 seconds or so. A series of neg comments cracked me out enough to realise I was stuck in this behaviour. My problem isn't reading posts, it's posting and then awaiting replies. The negs did me a favour or I'd have just got deeper involved.

So that's why she's staying away she asked Stuart to block her from posting any threads an posting anything at all

I think some of the negativity may of upset her too but hopefully she will return soon as I for one enjoyed reading her nutty veiw on life :-)

At a guess I would say it was jwatts007's comment in the 'Is it just me?' thread. At best, it was a pathetic attempt at humour but more likely an ignorant bigot's musings that should have been kept to himself.

It's part of the competition though isn't it Martin, the best rep will win a heli. I think you get yours back when the comp is over. Vicki was top rep I think so maybe more liked her posts than not

I am so peeved, Vikki's posts were the highlight of this forum. So some an*l retentive twat does not like reading "about junk heli's" (Vikki's reason for leaving and the twats words), the people who love reading her fantastic posts now have to hope she comes back. I am hoping that she wins the most popular poster and appeal to everyone to find a Vikki post and hit the thanks button.

Probably not the time nor the post to mention it but I do feel the forum has lost it's sense of humour somewhat. The banter of a few years ago has gone just in case anyone upsets another member.

Vicki, don't take things to heart, ignore and rise above comments that would otherwise upset you and maybe reply with the odd cutting remark yourself. That goes for everyone else, for the last year or two theres been nothing but pussyfooting around just in case you upset them by saying your heli is better than theirs. It's a fooking hobby and a superb forum that we all like to hang out on. Don't take things to heart, if you do, I have, be big enough to say sorry, swallow your pride and get on with it. Jesus!!!

Oh, by the way John Watts is one of the nicest fellas I've had the pleasure of meeting. Sometimes comes across the wrong way but forums do that on occasions

Vikki has openly posted on here before that she has Asperger syndrome, a condition on the autism spectrum. Quoting directly from Wikipedia, people with Asperger syndrome often display intense interests. It's Vikki's 'intense interest' in helis that produced her enthusiastically infectious posts, I would suggest. While not to everyone's tastes, a lot of people have enjoyed reading what she has to say. Those that don't like her style should just ignore the posts and keep their mouths shut, instead we have lost someone who was made a huge positive contribution to the site.
At least Vikki has been able to pick a positive out of the situation, it's nice to see that she can be mature about it all when other's are not.
