thrust bearings

got a little issue with the movement of the blade grips, in my opinion they dont seem very smooooooth when the pitch is changed, after stripping i have noticed the two washers that are either side of the thrust bearings are not recessed just plain flat washers, so should these be recessed and should i replace asap, the head is a cnc copy purchased within the uk, but probably shipped from the east.

you have answered your own question! have to be recessed to keep balls and grease in. I would replace with proper ones
