Sweets & Smart questions for Planks are available as a test online. Some will be applicable to Helis:- BMFA Midland Area
Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

I can't remember what sweets and smart mean. I remember that you have to make sure you take off into wind and not into the sun and that your tx aerial must be extended. It would be useful to have a list of what examiners think is the most useful. When I read through the A test info I think I found two versions of what to do about failsafe. There is a problem that switching on the tx first always and off last does prevent failsafe testing. There's no point in having failsafe unless you know its working, that means testing it on a regular basis. This can also create a problem for electric if it causes the motor to run and the heli is not restrained.

If you're flying a nitro heli it's easy to test the failsafe as you can just watch the trottle servo. On electric, I was told by one examiner that he would want to see the heli spun up a bit and then cut off the TX and see that the motor shuts off, (I suppose the safe way to do it is without blades but it would really mean knowing for certain that the failsafe was set properly)
