  • Hot servos

Just put some new servos on my 450x, they're Hitec HS-65MG servos, I've just installed them into the frame and powered up the heli, but they make a noise (the usual servo buzzing type noise), but they get pretty warm/hot, even when I'm not moving the cyclic stick.

Is this right, do these servos do this ?

    Thanks

These are analogue servos, not digital, did you change the settings on the FBL unit?

If not, it is in the process of destroying them at the moment.

Hi, I run HS65MG on my 450x with a Ar7200BX FBL controller, just make sure that you set the frequency to 50hz as they are analogue not digital, as said previously failing to do this will damage your servos.

Can anyone give me some simple instructions on how to do this, looked through the manual, but it's still a bit vague to me.

                  Thanks

Hold the button till the orange light goes solid, then press the button to go to menu B. Then use the rudder stick (TX must be on) till you have a purple light. Press a number of times to cycle through all the other menus till its back in flight mode. Done!

I know this goes back a bit but just wanted to confirm the Frequency settings for the hs 65 mg servos as I have found them listed on another site as being 65Hz. RC Helicopter Servo Pulse Widths.
