Align Starter - stopping

This just started happening. I thought it might be low battery but on a fully charged battery my Align starter turns the engine over for a few seconds then stops - all the LEDs flash together until I release the button. Then it works fine for a few more seconds.

Drat !! I think I killed it starting Callums 700 for the night flight.

mine was happy starting os91, but wouldnt start my new ys91, so i bought a dynatron awesome starter 4s upwards on a 90-120

Ah, good old over-engineering at its best.

My starter has a power lead, a switch, and a motor...... and doesnt give me too much trouble

If you have one try another lip. You may find that a poor capacity battery is making it go into self protect Its worth a try, I never had any problems with mine apart from it recking an N9 clutch stack with that awful racheting effect caused by the gearbox.

To be fair though I then bought a Dynatron and running on 5s thers nothing i've found yet that it won't start.

It did get some hammering trying to start Callums heli then Callum realised he hadnt turned the fuel on :-)
