  • Faster Upload ?!

Trying to upload a 8min 720p video to Youtube is a complete nightmare. It is 19% complete and it has been going for about 1 1/2 hours, and it says there's still 361mins to go !

Anyone know any type of fast uploaders ?

I know a lot of it is down to Internet speed, but other than that, what can help ? (I've tried Vimeo)

    Cheers

Download PowerDirector 10. There's a free trial and it costs about £40 if you want to keep it. It accepts just about any raw footage file formats and can use any modern GPU to quickly render and upload directly to YouTube. I use Adobe Premier for 'proper' editing, but PD is fantastic for quick stuff with excellent results

Ps this won't upload any faster, but it will make sure you have the most optimum file size/type which will give you the shortest upload time possible, the rest is down to your Internet connection

I've found it quicker to upload direct from my iPhone, 6minute vids uploaded within 3 minutes, have done it many times at the field, decided I'm going to wait till I get home and use the iPhone connected to wifi as I keep going over my data bundle.
I know this works if you have used you iPhone to take the vid, don't know if you could connect a camcorder and iPhone to the pc to transfer from camcorder to iPhone then upload from iPhone.
To up load from iPhone, select vid then hit the forward button, you should see the upload to YouTube tab.
                Hope this helps
