  • First Flip!!

    Hey guys,
Just thought i'd share my glee with everyone. Nipped up to the local sports field tonight had one quick fly with the 130x to get the thumbs in then i flew my Blade450 first battery nice and smooth and steady on the second battery i just suddenly decided to try a flip..........pulled it off no problem! I made sure i had plenty of height but it felt totally smooth, i was shaking bit after so landed packed up and came home so i could tell someone! I'm over the moon

Well done Matt, I remember my first flip too

Now, with 130x each time you flip it, make it 2 moves, one to get inverted one to get upright, then extend the time between the 2, which is what I am working on at the moment, inverted hover for around 15-20secs I have got it to now

thanks guys, i can do it on the sim no problem. i can even hover inverted for quite some time it's just having the confidence to do it for real. The 130x has been such a brilliant investment i know they are not perfect in some peoples eyes but to me it really is wonderous little thing

It's the way they survive a crash. You can have a few goes and, if you're lucky, a few more goes before something breaks to stop play. If it wasn't for Limpy I wouldn't have had the nerve to flip Harry (500elf).

Rolls are ok but need a good bit of space if you intend to just whack the aileron over. Doing one from inverted to upright is amazing. Flip to inverted then whack the aileron over and then at the same point as you would for a flip, go positive pitch. Soon you find yourself rolling into inverted and out again

These models have brought loads of people on in their flying nicely. They certainly have their place!

                  Good work

So went flying again tonight and managed to do a roll! It was rather untidy but pulled it off....my flips now feel much more solid and pretty stationary if i want them to be.............damn i love this hobby

I put my 130x in hard today, well, wort of did. Inverted hovering about 2 inches off the grass, a gust of wind shot it downwards, the 130x is actually pretty decent inverted, given me so much confidence, and awaiting cash to get something bigger again.

                          well done on the rolls

now needing another of those blasted tail gears that are one the main shaft, 2nd one in 3 days haha
