    Just wanted to say, it's been great following this thread, at one stage I thought it was going to be a competition between Vikki and Numbskull.

    Now I would like to know how different they fly ( one being the DFC ) so if you could both just play around with your respective 450s for, say a week and then swap, that would give some really interesting feedback.....

    Only joking - I know your both hopelessly in love with the one you have....

    Thanks for the really interesting and usefull read anyway...

    Oh! Yes and one has beastx the other 3gx..

      well after another day of tinkering and a new mainshaft and swash leveller (there was a horrific burr on the main shaft which dyg into the soft ally of the swash leveller .. and a quich trip to skyline models ( thanks bob your a star )the blighters up in the air !!!

      i still dont quite understand the whole setting up process ..it is all still a lil higgldy piggldy but ive built my first heli and it flew lovely first time .. obviously im a learner so cant really say how good the 3gx is but what i do know his the heli stays pointing the way it should !!!


      oh and stripped my first front torque tube gear in the process 2nd battery in .. came down a lil tail heavy !!!



      but overall .. very very impresse3d

          sorry i don't mean to sound thick its just the way i talk but what is a shim and where dose it go answer in pic formate to make sure i don't get lost in Helli translation many thanks in advanced

            A thin metal washer that goes between the upper bearing and the collar on the main shaft. It lifts the main shaft and main gear collection up a tiny amount and removes any slight up/down movement.

            If I remember I'll take pics when I reassemble. It is in the manual though.
