  • Tail blowing out

My tail blows out on fast figure of eight funnels. Using bls251 and vbar, tail holds fine everywhere else. Any ideas what can I do to cure this?

Quite a few possibles but ignoring most of the usuals, inadequate Gyro gain caused by over long servo horn is a high possibility. In the VB software you can read the gyro gain the Vb is seeing. My Dx8 Tx using the Gyro menu reads 85% whilst the Vb equates this to 118%! and this is without any wag symptoms.

I've yet to have any tail Gyro whereby selecting a servo horn length that JUST allows full tail slider travel does not prove to be close to optimal.

Another possibility is the gov your using allows or has a delay as you unload the Pitch as you go from +/- pitch dropping the H/S momentarily reducing tail authority, but there are many other potential problems to be ruled out.

Thanks, it could be the governor as I'm using the hobbywing one.

I've never had much luck with Hobbywing governors, I got better reuslts just running a flat curve. Not an answer to your problem, but I'd say the Hobbywing is a prime suspect.
