Hey.

Nice machine. Is that two main tanks plastic welded together? Who joined them if so?

The tanks had the facing sides removed with a dremel cutting disc, then squared on a belt sander to ensure maximum mating surface. Then welded together with an electric soldering iron using the scrap material much as filler rod. The result has so far been excellent.
20 litres of fuel has passed through it so far without any major issues.

As you can see nowdays it is already stretched to '800' size with Align stock boom/t.tube/blades and flies perfectly all that time.
With Heli-Chris frame upgrade, i have the benefit of 1,2L Kero to carry giving a good flighttime (around 12min). Recently i also engaged the Vbar governor in Id1/2, so headspeed is constaly hold around 1800 RPMs (with 810mm blades).
