Another motor plugged into RX ?

Just want to try something out for my AS350 heli.

Like the start up sounds of turbines (the high pitched whining sound) and wondered if I could plug a small brushed motor directly into the RX and operate it via a switch to simply turn it on and off.

Would this work or would it be too much power for the motor to handle ?

EDIT: Ahh missed some info, the battery is a 6s 3000mah lipo and a Spektrum RX.

if its a brushed motor you'll need a separate brushed esc for it Sam this could then be plugged into an aux channel,just plugging the motor in will not work

You could take apart a cheap servo and remove the end stops, this effectively makes the servo a switched brushed motor. This is what some of the scale model boat guys do to turn radars, etc. I'm not sure how much noise it would make though.

What I wonder if anyone has tried (and I know it is grossly impractical and inefficient) is to combine an EDF unit with a drive turbine. You then get the high pitched whine and the air rushing sound. But It may not get off the ground :-)
