Gu 365 FBL problems

Hi All,

I gave my Gaui GU365 FBL (yes, I know they aren't supposed to be any good) unit to "lucky mark", as he couldn't afford anything to fit to his heli. All good so far, until you test that the swash etc are going the right way when you tip the heli. Left and right are fine, but when you tip the heli back and forth, the swash moves back and forth, but so does the rudder servo???????
We tried swopping ail and rud connectors into fbl unit (in case instructions were wrong), but then right stick became rudder, you get the picture.
If you try to take off, the tail lifts and heli starts to spin around (clockwise) and, or tip over. 6 of us have looked at setup etc. and no further forward

Has anyone else come across this problem?? Anyone got any ideas of what has been done wrong, or could be going wrong? He followed the setup instructions on another forum and compared them to original instructions,which were pretty much the same, just better english!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They are meant to be rubbish, however when i 1st got a Gaui 200 fes 2 years ago it came with that unit, this was my 1st fbl too and it actually was alright!

Sounds to me like yours is FUBAR and needs to go in the bin. I still have mine here although i think 1 of the gain dials got broken, your welcome to it for nothing if you like? If not then i'm sure your mate could stump up for a second hand beastx

Hi Heathy, that is a very kind offer, thank you. I heard nothing but bad news on them, which is why I didn't fit it to my Gaui 425. I bought a job lot of gauis and the fes kit was included. I ended up fitting the tarot ZYX, which had mixed reviews, but I love it!!! Unfortunately, mark broke his back in a bike accident ( he was a bike instructor) and can no longer work, hence the scraping together of parts to keep him in the air. So far I've donated a gyro, motor, servo, FBL unit, & ESC. I will ask him if he would like to take you up on your kind offer, I've no problem paying you postage somehow PP gift?

Hi Heathy,
Mark has sorted the problem out. He has found that the orientation switch was not quite in the "on" position, so the unit was signalling for horizontal and vertical orientations. Pretty smart unit huh?? I wonder if it can stop him crashing too?? ha ha ha!!
As the 6 of us that looked at it are of the "could really do with glasses" age, we couldn't see it, let's face it, they aren't the biggest are they. Once mark actually bothered to use his mag glass, he spotted it straight away!!
