  • Can anyone weld alloy for me??

    Hi guys,

    I have a crack in my hatrori On one of the welds from a crash the blade hit the arse of it and cause it to split it i am after a factory finish if poss

    heres a pic

    Someone get the tig welder out! Not easy as its very thin.

      you will never get a factory finish as they are robot welded

          It just so happens that the robot part is what I do for a living and welding is my process. I would say that from the look of the weld it is hand tigged. It would mean cutting it back and removing whats there which is quite difficult. To pay someone to do it I reckon theres 2 to 3 hours work @ £30 or so an hour so you're looking at best part of £100. It needs someone to do it as a favour so factory finish isn't going to happen unless that's their job. I could take a look as long as you accept that it's not going to be as good as new.

                    Run it lean for 7 minutes, I think it would self heal

                      I've tig welded a few pipes in the past but not to factory finish pretty difficult due oil residue in pipe but not impossiable
