        Update!!

Many saw the heli in its crashed state so know what it looks like...not bad at all really!

Right after a few test flights the gear looks great..
went to fun fly and gave the heli to Timo to give it a good smack around the blades and its now in a smashing state! We havent found the excact cause for th ecrash yet but it went in so hard we had to dig it out of the grassland..Asking Timo what happened he said the heli lost complete control...as if the V-Stabi went offline kinda dead...I havent looked at the logs yet but will as soon as i get over this cold i picked up at the camping site! damp and wet camping..
no wires came out and the battery system is intact ..one very strange fault we found was as I grabbed the headblock to pick up the heli it was almost to hot to hold and was a surprise to feel..everything below the headblock was ice cold...there was a slight outa tracking blade but decided to continue flying and see how hard th eheli could be smacked..there was a slight drift in the heli too so a vibration must have been present in the frames..the logs will tell all..ok so the result...

main gear and pinion still intact and no damage at all....the rest of the heli..hmmmm was the fuse!...hahaha if the main gear was standard we would be replacing that as well I can safely tell you that now!

more to follow as I find th ecause of the crash

        cheers

          G-Day Boys and Girls!

started the crash investigation...and found the cause of the HOT head ...after the crash I heard the motor spin up for a few seconds as Timo didnt hit the throttle hold...not his TX ( iswitched mine to mode 1 for him he uses Graupner) so not used to the button config,s so ran over and hit the button...I did notice the swash lock on the**** but thought it was the long grass that grabbed it and twisted it..as we had to unwind the whole head out of grass..we coundlt see any metal at all from the heli..we where breaking grass away to get it out...didnt think anything more of it until now...sitting on the sofa licking my wounds from this stupid cold.. a eureka moment LIGHTS ON!!! grabed a coat and ran down to the shed with camera already knowing what I was going to shoot!
          this is what I found...hehehehe
imagine a high tensile jesus bolt being the "Fuse" who woulda guessed...not me for one! but glad its now a candidate!

and for those that didnt see the crash results...

          here ya go!

the blades where 3 min old!

          more to follow!

          cheers

Here ya go Addicts..some data from Timo,s flight

the v-stabi file says and many times over..
            0:18 The Cyclic Ring is
            active
If the agility of a Heli is set to the possibilities of the mechanic and aerodynamic limits, this did not
happen. However in 3D Flying the agility cannot set high enough to fullfill the pilots needs. So this
limiter is in action dependant on the flwon actions. If it is active very often, there is a potential problem
with the mechanics. Using lighter blades will help increasing the natural agility preventing hitting the
            cyclic ring all the time

and the CC log file is this.....
