This is a DX8, i normally run 60% ish on most of my models?

Vbar gain has no relation at all to what transmitter gain is unless you have it set that way as the way I said above. To be honest I know V-Bar pro and am used to setting the gain in PC software. The recommendations are a good baseline, both my 700 and 600 have the tail gain set to pretty much spot on what the V-Bar software recommends for their size classes which happens to be around the same ~90 .
