  • Fitted DFC on 500 now tons of play ??

    Hi all

Home some one can help me, i just fitted a DFC to my 500 new shaft grips swash the lot but now i have loads of up and down play (3mm) on the main shaft. Obviously my old FBL head had the adjustable collar this has a ridge on the shaft so no adjustment. Any idea on how i can get rid of this i have the old ESP model so not the new e-pro could the mainshaft bearing carriers be spaced different ?

You need some shims I think mate. Mark had this issue when he fit his but they don't tell you about the shims.

There should of been shims in the dfc kit, check first, I expect it's not quite as much as you think

There were no shims with the DFC kit, skyline are the most local to me apart from align trex but he is closed. Looking at the details of the kit does not mention the shims :-(
