Finally flipped the 450

Had a small weather window up here at the weekend and had 8 packs charged...With plenty of practice on the sim and managing with the MCPX 9 out of 10 times.... I finally flipped the 450. Yippeee!! Was so easy especially compared to the MCPX.

Now to roll it!!

It's an awesome feeling when you do your first roll isn't it?! Only recently did mine, but it soon moves you on to rolls and inverted flight. Nice one buddy!

Yes it did feel great to get it done on the bigger machine. Just wish I had done it sooner. Excuse is family comes first and not that many non gale like days up here. Watched some of the smacktalk vids many times and got the collective management as good as I could in Phoenix.

Vikki.. this what I was meaning about the 3GX. I don't have experience with other FBL controllers but this is good enough for me at the moment that is until the Vortex comes out and my need for upgrades take over!!

Rolls next and I really want to do a rainbow.. more sim time. Then I can think about a bigger machine.. hmmm 550 or 600 here I come!

Nice work. I was shitting my self the first time I flip my 500. Had a smile on my face for a week. Makes it all worth while.
Try doing a small pause when you get inverted to get used to inverted hovering.
Also rolls. I have started doing barrel rolls in forward flight now. Think they look cool and was heaps easier than I expected. I think the forward flight makes it more stable. Big loops once again can do a little pause at the top. No harder than what you have just done and doubles the size of the trick book :-)

I am still coming to terms with all orientations inverted. Not totally natural yet. Took the Mini CP out on the weekend and did 5 batteries inverted the whole time. bit the grass a few times but its a tough little bugger so kept coming back for more. Heaps harder than on the big one so good practice.

.... I have started doing barrel rolls in forward flight now. Think they look cool and was heaps easier than I expected.

now that does sound like a good one to try next.. time to get on the sim this evening as the boss is out!!
