How many poles on Align 500MX motor?

As the title suggests, I am trying to set up the govenor on my CC ice 75 for my trex 500 on an Align 500MX motor. The castle link software wants to know how many poles the motor has to do this.

I have found conflicting information, this post below suggests 6, but the picture shows 9 magnets on the motor. I am confused. Can anyone help please?

Just realised. On a brushless motor, the magnets are on the can. As there are six, have I answered my own question?
