No idea. You might need to ring around the usual suspects, and hope you get lucky. The reality is most places have been sent less that they ordered, so there is a waiting list.

There are dozens of Wii's on the continent

In Spain last week everywhere had them, same with Germany this weekend...
Should have bought a few dozen consoles back with me

Midland failing to deliver ? Not have enough stock ? No ....surely not !!! Is this a first ? (In case my sarcasm is missed see my other posts re: Midland taking orders for kit and not having it in stock or unable to provide it without a long delay.) I stand by my commentary. I think they advertise far more than they have THEN when they get an order they order it in turn. That's just plain shitty. People should be told immediately if something is available and the site should not advertise for sale what they don't have. It Is Illegal to advertise goods for sale you don't have. rant about Midland over....

You can't be serious about _any_ company not having anough Trex500s to fulfil their pre-orders... surely?

Really? I'm no expert, but all they are offering is to sell you a part. I can't see what's illegal in taking an order, ordering the parts in & then shipping them on.

Someone will put me straight I'm sure

                          whoa there tonto.

                          first point:

I think it should be made clear that Midland were only offering people a place on a list - not a guarantee of a helicopter.

If I am not mistaken the first batch into the country was twelve or so? Considering that Keith has forty or so places requesting stock ... they were lucky to have anything from the first batch... and the second batch was never going to be in the hundreds.

                          second point:

I do agree with you that if Midland are listing product they dont have, thenit is shitty. But that is a big IF.

They may have a really bad stock control system.
                          They may have dispatch problems.
                          They may have staffing problems.

I dont know. I'd be careful [without proof] about suggesting that false advertising is occuring.

It would be interesting to see just how many online stores have all the stock they advertise ready to dispatch.

I like to see online stores adopt an ebuyer/dabs style listing which show the stock level.

Like how Fastlad have done on there website.
Red Amber & Green indicators to show levels of stock. The webshop software I guess adjusts these values as online buyers place orders. This is ok for a shop thats online only when the shop is online & a retail outlet as in a real shop things get very muddied, people forget to adjust stock levels etc.

Not on any list for a 500 yet!

Exactly like that - much respect to Fastlad for doing so.
