My KR1S had a capful or so in every tank. So worth it! Such a pity the top of one of the pistons disapeared out of the exhaust one day up the A217. Shame after just over 6000 miles (yes, 6k ). It was great while it lasted and I still want one .

I know why it was the 500LC...
My mood used to change for the better as soon as I turned the key and heard that familiar whirr, whirr of the powervalve motor.
Did it for me every time

I going all daft just thinking about it. Those who know what I am talking about will know exactly what I mean

I have a confession to make - I built a chopper FOR Orange County Choppers...

Not quite what you may think...

It's full size, aluminium frame and covered in Kinex

Made for a promo in a toy shop in New York

                        I have a confession too....
                        I BOUGHT one.
Seriously. Paid £32k for it. $65k
Had it for about a year and did 600 of the most uncomfortable, crap and poor steering miles I've ever done. Sold it and was glad to see the back of it. Bloody awful bike. Noisy as hell, anything over 50mph was a nightmare. The only thing the bike was good for was posing.
I've had custom Bimota's (My fav was an SB6), fireblades, and other Japanese bikes and to be brutal the Chopper was a complete waste of money.
My enduring love is the Fireblade despite having 3 of them all try and bite my ass off. Something the Chopper never did to be fair but Christ... going round corners at low speed was just plain embarrassing.

When I get to the ripe old age of 70 I'll by a chopper. By then I won't mind going slow, the vibes will do wonders for my lumbago and going round corners slow enough to bring traffic to a screeching halt will fit in with all the rest of the 70's club.

                              Totally Totally agree with you.
Earliest were the best. Fox-eye and Urban Tiger models were just fab.
